Award Descriptions
Middle School Advisor of the Year
This award recognizes a middle school chapter advisor who demonstrates outstanding leadership, dedication, and commitment to the mission of Tennessee TSA. The recipient fosters a strong TSA program, engages students in meaningful STEM experiences, and serves as a role model through their professionalism and support of student growth and success.
High School Advisor of the Year
This award honors a high school chapter advisor who goes above and beyond in supporting TSA members and advancing the goals of the organization. Through innovative programming, mentorship, and consistent chapter excellence, the advisor demonstrates a deep commitment to student achievement and the development of future leaders in STEM.
Alumni of the Year
The Alumni of the Year award celebrates a former TSA member who continues to support the organization through advocacy, volunteerism, or mentorship. This individual exemplifies the lasting impact of TSA and serves as a role model for current members by demonstrating leadership and service beyond their time as a student.
Distinguished Student Award
The Distinguished Student Award recognizes a TSA member who has shown exceptional dedication, character, and leadership at the local, regional, and state levels. This student consistently upholds the values of TSA and actively contributes to the success of their chapter and peers through service, participation, and a strong commitment to STEM education.
Frank D. Calfee Distinguished Service Award
Named in honor of long-time Tennessee TSA leader Frank D. Calfee, this award is presented to an individual who has provided exceptional service and lasting contributions to Tennessee TSA. Whether through leadership, mentorship, or advocacy, the recipient exemplifies a deep and sustained commitment to the growth and success of the organization and its members.
